House removals across the UK
Whole homes, anywhere in the UK — surveyed before they are priced, wrapped before they are moved, and unloaded room by room at the other end.
Moving a whole house is the job everything else on this site is a smaller version of. It is also the one where the difference between a good firm and a cheap one shows up most clearly, and it shows up in the preparation rather than on the day.
What is included
- A free survey — video or in person — before any number is given
- The vehicle and crew sized for the actual volume, not the bedroom count
- Blankets, covers and floor protection as standard
- Dismantling and rebuilding anything that will not pass a door in one piece
- Room-labelled unloading so boxes land where they belong
- Packing materials taken away when we leave
The survey is the whole thing
A price given over the phone from a bedroom count is a guess. It does not know about the loft, the garage, the piano, the stairs that turn twice, or the fact that there is nowhere to park. Those are the things that decide how long a day takes, and they are the things that get "discovered" on the morning by firms that did not look.
So we look first. A video survey takes minutes — you walk round on your phone and we see the volume, the doorways and the access. For larger homes, or where something sounds awkward, we come out. Either way it is free and there is no obligation at the end of it.
Packing, if you want it
Full, part, or none. The commonest arrangement is a split: you take the books, the clothes and the non-fragile cupboards, we take the kitchen, the glass, the pictures and anything you would be upset to lose. Fragile items get cell partitions, cases or crates rather than a blanket and optimism.
What we need from you
Both addresses, the floor at each end, a rough sense of the volume, and a note of anything heavy, old or fragile. Add your date even if it is provisional. Storage bridges a gap between completions, and a move that crosses the country is on long distance.
House move questions
What size of house do you move?
Anything from a one-bed to a large family home with a loft, a garage and an outbuilding. The vehicle and crew scale with the job; the standard does not.
Do you come and look first?
We survey, yes — by video for most moves, in person for larger ones or where the access looks awkward. Either way it costs nothing and it is what makes the quote reliable.
What gets forgotten most often?
The loft, the garage, the shed and the cupboard under the stairs. Every time. They are always coming and they are always slow, so tell us about them and the number is the real one.
Will one vehicle do it?
Usually for a two or three-bed. Often not for a four or five-bed with outbuildings, and we would rather send two vehicles than make two trips.
Can you do it in one day?
Locally, almost always. Across the country, sometimes not — and we will say which at survey rather than promising a single heroic day and discovering otherwise.
Moving house?
Send both addresses and a sense of the volume. We survey — video or in person — and come back with a clear written quote.
