01 Where in the UK do you cover?
The whole of it. We are not a local firm with a nationwide page — we are a removals company that works across the country, collecting and delivering in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol and everywhere between them. If your move is inside one town we will do it; if it crosses the country we are set up for that too.
02 Do I need a visit before you can quote?
No. A video survey works for most moves — you walk us round on your phone, we see the volume, the stairs and the doorways, and quote from that. Where a move is large or the access looks awkward we will ask to come and look, and that costs nothing either.
03 What does a quote include?
The vehicle and crew, blankets, covers and floor protection, and taking apart and rebuilding what will not pass a door in one piece. Packing is quoted separately because some people want all of it and some want none. Whatever is included is written down.
04 Do you do small moves as well as whole houses?
Both, and everything in between. A single room, a studio, one heavy item, a three-bedroom house, a five-bedroom house with a loft and a garage. The vehicle and the crew change; the standard does not.
05 Can you store things between places?
Yes — wrapped, listed on an inventory and racked indoors, collected as part of the same move. It is far more common than people expect, because chains rarely line up neatly.
06 How do you work out a price?
Four things: how much there is, the access at both ends, how much packing you want done, and how far it goes. Not how urgent it sounds, not the season, not what someone else quoted.
07 Why do two quotes for the same move differ so much?
Almost always because they assume different things. One may have measured a smaller volume, or assumed you are packing, or not allowed for the stairs. If you are comparing, check both list the same volume and the same packing depth — most of the gap lives there.
08 Is there a deposit?
Booking terms, including any deposit and the cancellation window, are set out in the booking contract and on our terms page. We tell you before you commit, not after.
09 Are my things insured?
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies.
10 Do you pack, or is that on me?
Either, or a split. The most common arrangement is that you do the books, clothes and non-fragile cupboards and we do the kitchen, the glass, the pictures and anything awkward.
11 What if my completion slips on the day?
The load stays on the vehicle or goes into store overnight rather than onto a pavement. We tell you plainly what that means for the booking rather than sending a surprise invoice afterwards.
12 Do you move pianos?
Uprights routinely, with the correct board and straps. Grands are assessed first, and out of an upper floor with a turned stairwell we would rather bring in a piano specialist than improvise.
13 Do you take apart and rebuild furniture?
Yes, where the item was designed to come apart — beds, flat-pack wardrobes, tables with removable legs or leaves. Where a piece was built in place or has a joint that was never meant to open, we change the route instead of forcing it.
14 Can you collect from two addresses?
Yes. Two households merging, a parent's house on the way, or a storage unit emptied en route. Mention every address at quote stage so the route and timing are costed from the start.
15 Do you do office and business moves?
Yes — offices, practices, studios and small units. Out of hours usually makes most sense so trading stops for the least possible time, and we can phase a move across several evenings where a business genuinely cannot close.
16 Is a long-distance move one day or two?
Depends on the distance, the loading time and when you can get into the new place. We say which at survey rather than discovering it at six in the evening. A two-day move compressed into one is how things get broken.
17 How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you have a date, even a provisional one. Fridays and month-ends go first everywhere in the country.
18 Can you help if I am not sure what I need?
That is most enquiries. Describe the move in plain terms and we will tell you which service fits and roughly what it involves. If a smaller, cheaper option would do the job we will say so.
19 Who handles the customs paperwork on a European move?
We do, built from the survey inventory. Since the UK left the EU a household move needs a proper packing list and the destination country's transfer-of-residence process, and each of the four we cover differs.
